Two Charged In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident

Two men have been charged in connection with a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.

These accusations come after an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after getting out of a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A toddler was one of the people hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
