Trump's Granddaughter Gets Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf Debut

Emerging athlete preparing for major tournament

This young athlete boasts considerable online audience

Kai Trump will have plenty of prominent backers when she starts her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

The former president, an avid golfer, operates numerous international courses and often plays against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she stated.

She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"He basically advised me to play and have fun," she explained.

"In my eyes, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has played in just three tournaments in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in AJGA listings.

Yet she's able to get advice from Tiger Woods, who is dating her mother.

"He is the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.

"And he's a superior individual. He advised me to play, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."

She'll challenge several the biggest names in the sport at the competition, including world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

The LPGA commented that Kai's presence brings golf to different demographics, particularly with younger fans.

The young star boasts millions of followers and has started a personal clothing and lifestyle brand.

She begins at late afternoon GMT.
