Homages Flow for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt able to express about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can now put my grief into words," shared Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced spending more time together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the production, adding that he doesn't recollect "one day without joy".

"The movie is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a different tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles court official ruled to block the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A legal directive placed a embargo on the investigation to limit the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a public database listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Fallout and Commentary

Following the deaths, public figures offered different reactions.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making controversial remarks that were widely condemned by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the detractors last week. Talking on his program, Rogan labeled the comments as "disappointing" and remarked they showed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an adviser could have stepped in when the impulse to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
