British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on Monday, a devastating event that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The boxer had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, his management team confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two trusted companions.”

This update on his health arrives after the sports world offered condolences for the fighter in the wake of the devastating accident.
